E-T-A Circuit Breakers launch two products at Southern 2015
E-T-A Circuit Breakers is showcasing two firsts on its stand at Southern Manufacturing 2015: The ESX10-TB, the first device capable of protecting groups of loads with a total current of up to 16A using a single circuit protector and the ESS31-T mechatronic circuit breaker, the first track-mountable electronic circuit breaker with physical isolation offering worldwide approvals.
The company designs and manufactures a range of electro-mechanical and electronic products for circuit protection, control and instrumentation, and also offers a customised systems design and build service in the UK. Examples of all these products will be on show.
Rail-mounted and plug-in circuit protection devices provide electronic overcurrent protection. The ESS and ESX families protect equipment and components in industrial applications and supply lines fed by a 24V DC switch-mode power supply. The selective disconnection of 24V DC load systems in automation applications reduces costly downtime and danger to personnel on production lines.
Electronic overcurrent protection prevents short-term voltage dips of switch-mode power supplies both in the event of a short circuit and in the event of overload in the load circuit, at the same time providing selective protection or disconnection even at very unfavourable overload conditions. Other features offered include current-limited switch-on of loads with high input capacities without increasing the current ratings as well as failure signalling.
