Eco-friendly high-performance cables from Aerco

EcoGen products contain no halogens, phthalates or heavy metals and are 100 per cent recyclable. Their mPPE insulation and jacket materials allow them to meet RoHS and WEEE requirements for the elimination of hazardous substances and recyclability. The use of mPPE insulation also results in significant size and weight savings when compared with traditional PVC and XLPE wire and cable.

The product family comprises four products: EcoCable, EcoFlex, EcoWire and EcoWire Plus. EcoCable is a 600V control cable that is up to 47 per cent smaller, 65 per cent lighter and produces 87 per cent lower outgassing than conventional PVC control cables, while EcoFlex offers similar size and weight benefits for moderate flex applications. EcoFlex is rated for up to one million flex life cycles with an 8× flexing bend radius.

EcoWire is an mPPE hook-up wire that is up to 45 per cent smaller, 40 per cent lighter and 10 times tougher than traditional PVC hook-up wire, and completing the range is EcoWire Plus, a compact and lightweight version of EcoWire that meets ISO 6722 standard for fluid resistance. Compared with XLPE products, EcoWire Plus offers excellent resistance to oils, chemicals, solvents and fuels.
