Electro-magnetic safety lock has 1500N holding force

Magne from Jokab Safety is a magnetic lock that is suitable for use in demanding industrial applications, being capable of keeping a door closed against a force of up to 1500N. When the electric current is switched off, no magnetic material remains attached to the magnetic surface. Moreover, there is no current surge when engaging.

Magne has no moving parts and is compatible with Eden non-contact safety sensors to protect against dangerous machine movements. Using M12 connectors, it is easy to connect several Magne units and Eden sensors in series for control and monitoring by a Pluto safety PLC or a Vital safety module. Diagnostics indicate the locked or unlocked status of the Magne.

Accessories available include a handle and an installation kit for hinged doors, with a bracket and screws for installing into the profiles of Jokab Safety's Quick-Guard fencing system. Using the installation kit, angular tolerances can be tolerated by mounting the Magne on the frame and the anchor plate with the included foam rubber spacer on the door profile.
