ERIKS will showcase a range of products and services that increase performance and efficiency at Maintec 2013, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham 5-7 March. A highlight of the ERIKS stand will be the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) motor calculator, an award-winning piece of software that calculates the environmental and economic cost of repairing or replacing an electric motor, which visitors will be able to sample via a touch screen.
On display will be condition monitoring products, and SKF will be joining ERIKS on the stand to demonstrate the SKF Machine Condition Indicator, a cost-effective vibration and temperature monitoring device designed for rotating machinery. ERIKS will also be displaying Simalube, an automatic lubricant, and showing visitors how a new Simatec app used on an iPad can advise on lubricant delivery. There is also the Simatherm Bearing heater, which provides a portable, compact and light tool for heating roller bearings; the Fenner QD:HVAC, an energy-saving inverter that can recoup its costs in six months; and the MPFiltri online fluid condition monitoring system. The ERIKS stand will also offer advice on how good thermal monitoring can extend the life of your drive and prevent issues such as excess heat from causing premature failure, while a separate stand will be dedicated to demonstrating the benefits of ERIKS Storeroom Services.
In addition to the products on display, Dave Manning-Ohren, Condition Monitoring Specialist, ERIKS UK, will be presenting one of the learnShops, entitled, "Web based condition monitoring, where and when will it work for me?' This short introduction to online condition monitoring will explain how such systems pay dividends and how they integrate with CMM or asset management programmes. Also we have Mike Brook, Business Development Director at ERIKS UK, sitting on the judging panel for the Maintenance Professional Awards, which have been created to recognise and reward those who have delivered real commercial benefits to their organisation through the maintenance process.
