Extended range of cost-saving EZ-BoardWare PCB hardware
Harwin is expanding its EZ-BoardWare range of surface-mount PCB hardware products as industry continues to move away from traditional 'fixes' associated with cable management, EMC, test and batteries, which are often bulky and usually require costly secondary assembly operations.
Harwin's innovative EZ-BoardWare family is claimed to improve manufacturing flexibility, reduce manufacturing costs, save space and improve in-field maintenance. The products are designed as elegantly simple means of overcoming frustrating challenges concerning functions. Replacing through-hole or bolt-down compromises, EZ-BoardWare components can all be surface-mounted along with other components, thereby saving space as well as reducing time and costs.
Recent additions to the product range include:
- EZ-SMT Board Socket - a cheaper alternative to turned-contact PCB sockets for less demanding applications
- Low-profile EZ-Link jumper links - now just 0.97mm high
- A broader range of cable management EZ-Cable that can handle two wires or coaxial cable - even providing grounding for improved EMC performance
Product Manager Paul Gillam comments: "Our EZ-Boardware range is becoming widely accepted by industry as a means of significantly simplifying production and reducing manufacturing costs and board space. This is the reason that the product family is one of our fastest growers, with new products being added all the time."
