Extracted Key Adaptor prevents inadvertent startup of machinery

Fortress Interlocks is introducing an Extracted Key Adaptor that forces extraction of the safety key for added peace of mind. The Extracted Key Adaptor also adds extra functionality to the robust safety key module, ensuring that the key cannot be turned and left in place and an actuator released. When the safety key is used by an operative and retained on their person, the access point cannot be closed and machinery restarted while the operative is working in the hazardous area.

The Extracted Key Adaptor is available as an option on Fortress Interlocks' robust amGardpro, amGardS40 (stainless steel, IP69K) and mGard interlock ranges to prevent the inadvertent startup of dangerous machinery.

If required, the trapped key interlock system can be designed so that additional safety keys can be released following the forced extraction of the initial key, enabling multiple users to be protected at the same time.

The Extracted Key Adaptor utilises the CL lock that has over 200,000 unique combinations, meaning that no matter how big or small the system, it can benefit from the innovative Extracted Key Adaptor. It is also available with a padlockable dust cover for compatibility with existing lockout procedures.

More information about the Extracted Key Adaptor can be found via the amGardpro, amGardS40 and mGard pages on the Fortress Interlocks website.
