Features, zones and workshops: New at MachineBuilding.Live 2025

The excitement is building now for MachineBuilding.Live 2025 at the NAEC Stoneleigh Park on 15 October. The UK's only event staged exclusively for machine builders, systems integrators and OEMs, it showcases all the latest innovations and advances in machine building and industrial automation are showcased, with almost 200 exhibitors highlighting the advantages brought by thousands of the latest new products.

Features, zones and workshops: New at MachineBuilding.Live 2025

This year's MachineBuilding.Live sets out to explore some of the key themes impacting the sector, including artificial intelligence, energy efficiency, robotics, predictive maintenance and safety.

AI in manufacturing can help to optimise and automate various aspects of the manufacturing process. Many automation components and controllers are already embedding AI technologies for enhanced operation of machines and systems, and machine builders will be able to see a number of examples at MachineBuilding.Live.

Energy efficiency in manufacturing focuses on optimising energy use to minimise waste, reduce costs and lower environmental impact. Visitors to MachineBuilding.Live will be able to talk to industry leaders about a whole range of energy efficient technologies, and many of those suppliers will also be able to conduct energy audits to facilities to identify opportunities for energy savings.

Robots are a proven technology in manufacturing to automate repeatable tasks, improving efficiency, precision and safety. From collaborative to industrial robots, and their associated controllers, visitors to MachineBuilding.Live will be able to talk to industry leaders about embracing robotics within machine designs.

Predictive maintenance in manufacturing is a proactive approach that uses data analysis and machine learning to anticipate equipment failures and schedule maintenance accordingly, minimising downtime and optimising resource allocation. Visitors will be able to see examples, of sensors, condition monitoring systems, intelligent actuators, controllers with embedded monitoring technologies, retrofit monitoring solutions and more.

An ongoing theme at MachineBuilding.Live given the transition from the Machinery Directive to the new Machinery Regulation, visitors will have ample opportunity to talk to suppliers and attend workshops to explore this vital topic.

Workshop programme

As a result of their popularity at the 2024 event, the number of Action Areas at MachineBuilding.Live 2025 has been increased. On these special stands, leading experts from across the machine building and factory automation spectrum will be providing live demonstrations of their latest technologies and innovations. Many of them will be making their UK debut at this event.

Among the Action Area demos, Bosch Rexroth will be showing a projected workbench where working guides are projected onto the worktop for the operator to follow, LG Motion will be showcasing a precision pick-and-place demonstration with a collaborative robot, and Routeco will be showing a complete mechatronics solution presented through its extensive range of supply partners.

Accompanying the packed exhibition floor is a top-quality workshop programme, with presentations from SICK, Pilz, B&R, Beckhoff, igus, Lenze, Festo and OMRON exploring today's most pressing automation and safety concerns.

Perhaps the most significant new feature, this year will see MachineBuilding.Live co-located with FoodManufacturing.Live, casting the spotlight on the critical engineering aspects of food and beverage manufacturing, from processing and production through to packaging. Machine builders active in this important sector will discover answers to technical needs covering everything from simple component replacement right up to the integration of complete manufacturing and processing lines. Co-locating the events provides enormous benefits for visitors who will appreciate the synergies across the technologies that drive machine innovation, and the growing imperative within food and drink manufacturing for increased automation.

It's worth noting, too, the new location for MachineBuilding.Live: the NAEC. This recently built exhibition Hall is bright and airy with a full range of facilities, including fully marshalled free parking. Conveniently located in Warwickshire, just off J15 of the M40, it is also easily reached from Birmingham, Coventry and Leamington Spa, the latter two just a short taxi ride from mainline railway stations.

What hasn't changed is the unique format of this exhibition to provide you with maximum information in the minimum of time. You can get here easily, park at zero cost just a short stroll from the entrance, get in, get round, get all the answers you seek and get back to work in short order - and you can also enjoy a free breakfast roll and brew if you arrive before 11:00.

The events take place at the NAEC Stoneleigh Park in Warks on October 15th 2025. You can register here to attend.
