The new XUVU fork sensor from Telemecanique Sensors is the most compact on the market, proving it to be ideal for tight spaces in machines. With powerful ultrasonic technology, the XUVU reliably identifies labels even with gaps as small as 1mm, aiding optimal label usage and avoidance of material waste. Its slim design allows edge installation, preventing material shifting and ensuring precise label placement.

Featuring IO-Link technology, the XUV offers easy configuration, real-time data monitoring and supports predictive maintenance, to reduce downtime and optimise operational efficiencies. Excellent visibility is provided via a bar graph for teach-in quality, with its intuitive display and simple on-site monitoring.

Housed in a durable aluminium casing with an IP65 protection rating, the sensor's robust design copes admirably in harsh industrial environments. Even on fast-moving conveyor lines, the fork sensor ensures precise detection, making it perfect for high-speed machines and providing accurate label placement, error reduction and productivity enhancement. In addition, materials are detected and measured based on thickness rather than surface characteristics, making it highly effective for a wide range of labels, including transparent, shiny, metallic and RFID labels.

The XUVU is available with a choice of switching outputs of Push/Pull or PNP; with M8 or M12 connectors or 2m cables and features a fork width of 2.6mm and fork depth of 42.5mm.

Available through a network of distributors in the UK and Ireland, the XUVU is backed by a network of technical support.
