Free EEF webinar: a practical guide to continuous improvement

EEF, the manufacturers' organisation, is running a free, live webinar on Wednesday 20 May 2015 to help manufacturers improve their business and grow. The webinar, Stepping up a gear - building the foundation of successful change, will explain how businesses can use Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques to embed a successful improvement programme that achieves real change and drives sustainable business growth.

Free EEF webinar: a practical guide to continuous improvement

The webinar is designed to provide businesses with a practical guide to continuous improvement. It will give simple but effective advice and information that businesses can implement easily, helping them to:

  • Understand the range of Six Sigma and Lean techniques available - and understand how they differ from traditional quality improvement methods
  • Define key steps to engage others and get involvement and buy-in at every level
  • Make the most of the benefits of implementing effective improvement programmes
  • Overcome problems impacting on business strategies and operational activities

Linda Harrison, Manufacturing Growth Consultant at EEF, says: "This webinar is part of our drive to ensure that all manufacturers, large and small, are able to benefit from global best practice and game-changing Lean techniques.

"Lean has been readily adopted by industry heavyweights who are reaping the rewards of improved processes, greater efficiency and better productivity. The more companies wake up to these methods, the stronger our sector will become." EEF is no stranger to Lean training, having recently launched a full-scale, configurable and transportable Lean Academy for mid-sized and SME manufacturers.
