Free online Dynamic Brake Resistor Calculator
The Inverter Drive Supermarket has developed a Dynamic Brake Resistor Calculator to reduce the time required to specify braking resistors for variable-speed drive (VSD) applications.
Simply by specifying the required impedance in ohms and (optionally) the continuous load in watts, the calculator will search 880 resistor combinations to suggest the most appropriate configuration to suit the application. The results include the total resistance and load, quantity of resistors required, wiring diagrams together with the price and option to buy the configuration for delivery worldwide.
Guidance notes are also included to help customers determine what resistance may be required for specific drive applications including braking duration, overloading and temperature considerations.
