Free roadshow: robotics for beginners

In real terms, robots now cost less than ever before, and modern programming tools make them easier to implement. If you are thinking about using a robot, perhaps for the first time, for assembly, pick-and-place or component manipulation in any way, I urge you to visit one of the Robot Roadshows being organised by AA Robotics. Having spent an hour or so at the Milton Keynes event, I can assure you that these are worth a visit. There are two robots, three vision systems and a vibratory bowl feeder in action, plus igus has a display of its 'energy chain' cable guides and bearings, and Laidler Associates is on hand to discuss all aspects of machinery safety (not just robot safety).
