Free selection tool for power supply surge protection

Power supplies are used in many different applications and therefore have differing requirements for lightning and surge protection. For example, the protection of a power supply in a critical industrial process is different from the requirements to protect supplies in residential buildings.

Phoenix Contact says its surge protection concept provides a convenient and ready-to-install system for all applications. The extensive range provides device protection (type 3) for termination devices and surge protection (type 2) in sub-distributions. High-performance lightning arresters (type 1) and combined lightning/surge arresters (type 1 + type 2) are available in the form of modules allowing for system protection for lightning strikes of up to 200,000A.

A new free brochure describes the different protection levels and provides a selection guide for the protection of power supplies.
