Freescale PF3000 Power Management Integrated Circuit at Mouser
Mouser Electronics the PF3000 Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) from Freescale Semiconductor. Developed as a companion device to Freescale's i.MX 7 series and i.MX 6SoloLite and i.MX 6SoloX series of application processors, the PF3000 is a single-chip power management product. The PF3000 PMIC is capable of driving the core processor, external memory, and peripherals to help reduce design complexity and cost, while also providing high overall power efficiency. The PF3000 features four buck converters, six linear regulators, an RTC supply, and a coin-cell charger, and supports one-time programmable memory.
The Freescale PF3000 Power Management Integrated Circuit features a configurable architecture powered by SMARTMOS technology that supports numerous outputs with various current ratings, as well as programmable voltage and sequencing. This functionality enables the PF3000 to power not only the core processor, but also the peripherals and various types of system memory resources - all in an overall component size of less than 100mm ². In addition, the PMIC supports one-time programmable memory for controlling startup sequence and output voltages with no external components required. Light load efficiency is combined with user programmable Standby, Sleep/LPSR, and Off power modes.
Freescale's PF3000 Power Management Integrated Circuit is available now through Mouser Electronics in a 7mm × 7mm, 48-pin QFN package. The family of devices is offered with multiple programming and temperature options, and is well suited for a broad range of consumer and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications, including tablets, wearable computing devices, industrial control, medical monitoring, security and home automation. For development, the PF3000 is supported by an evaluation board and a programming board, also available on the Mouser Electronics website.
