The Imaging Source is launching a new series of Gigabit Ethernet cameras consisting of 27 models. They feature robust industrial casings with a C/CS lens mount and optional trigger and digital I/O. Colour, monochrome and Bayer models are available in VGA, XGA and SXGA resolutions.
According to the company, both programmers and end-users will feel at home with the supplied software. Getting started with the cameras takes just minute,s and integrating them into existing applications takes only a few lines of code. Drivers for LabView, Halcon, DirectX, Twain and WDM are included. All camera parameters and settings can be set via the software. Furthermore, several automatic modes are available, which are said to guarantee the optimum image quality in varying light conditions.
The cameras ship with drivers for Windows XP/Vista, the SDK IC Imaging Control and IC Capture. The latter is a powerful end-user application for setting all of the cameras parameters and displaying live video or individual images, plus image sequences can be captured.
