GTK offers standard and customised eSATA cables
GTK is now offering new external SATA II (eSATA) cable assemblies to add to its serial ATA products for the data storage/peripheral marketplace.
Up to six times faster that USB and IEEE 1394, eSATA allows for faster, more reliable data transfer with improved performance compared with existing external alternatives. Achieving 1.5GB/s and up to 3GB/s data transfer, parts deliver impedance of 100+/-15ohms, as well as a maximum of 6dB attenuation and -26dB crosstalk from 10 to 4500MHz. Devices connect directly to and are used only with SATA II-enabled hard-drive enclosures. Cables are flexible (for easy positioning) and compact (for easy storage). Conductors are 26AWG tinned stranded copper with self-cling aluminium Mylar tape shielding. Cables can be supplied up to 2m long.
Standard and custom cables are available in a multitude of configurations for applications including straight and right-angle cable exits. Cable mount connectors also comprise detents to prevent accidental dislodging of the cable. All assemblies use UL-approved flexible shielded cables for EMI protection.
