Hammer home an advantage with robust inductive sensors

The 'hammer demo' for Contrinex's robust 700 Series inductive sensors is surprising and compelling. To illustrate how these sensors differ from typically brittle inductive sensors, a 700 Series M30 inductive sensor, embedded into the head of a mallet, is used to hammer two-inch nails into a block of wood. After this abuse, the sensor still works perfectly.

The sensor's body is machined from a single piece of stainless steel (V2A/AISI 303), with a hermetically sealed cable entry. IP68 & IP69K protection, corrosion resistance, being impervious to oil, and able to withstand pressure up to 100 bar make these robust sensors the go-to choice for industries where most other inductive sensors would fail.

Typical uses are areas with vibrations, shock and risk of impact and abrasion, such as presses and stamping machines, assembly machinery and jigs, and environments with extreme temperatures, high pressure or aggressive chemicals.

The sensors' resilience ensures accuracy and operational integrity, no matter the conditions. Users can ensure fit-and-forget performance, reducing costly downtime and maintenance, with sensors that Contrinex says cost only a few percent more than competitors' sensors.

A sensing distance of up to 40 mm and Factor 1 performance mean that the 700 Series can detect both ferrous and non-ferrous materials with equal precision. Available in sizes ranging from M8 to M30 and a flat cubic C23 (20 x30 x8 mm), these sensors are versatile and trusted in a wide range of applications and industries.

The 700 Series sensors have been used in the oil and gas, food processing, chemical manufacturing, heavy machinery and maritime industries. They provide world-class performance and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your machinery is equipped to handle whatever the environment throws at it.

Contrinex's EXTREME sensors are the ultimate insurance policy in a marketplace where downtime and failures are costly. They offer the durability and precision that today's most demanding industries require, ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and uninterrupted even in extreme environments.
