Hardware-based security technology on a compact form factor
Kontron is announcing the availability of the Kontron COM Express COMe-cSL6. The Kontron cSL6 is based on the COM Express compact standard form factor and 6th generation Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors. With 16 GB DDR4 soldered memory and 32 GB SLC on board SSD, the Kontron COMe-cSL6 can deliver just about any application to any market.
Security features include TPM 2.0, AMI UEFI, and optional Intel vPro technology (vPro capability only on Core i7 and Core i5 eligible processors when paired with eligible vPro capable Chipsets; Q170 for DT and QM170 for MBL), with Operating System support for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7 and Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded Standard 8, Linux 3.18 and VxWorks 7.
Customers can take early advantage of the significant features and benefits including increased memory, and faster graphics and processing performance.
The key for Kontron with these new processors is security. The 6th generation Intel Core processors enable security down to the IO level of the board. Kontron will be announcing more on the security topic in early Q1.
Kontron Vice President of Kontron R&D Product Management Reiner Grbmeyer reveals that "the Kontron COMe-cSL6 is a core product that will aid in actualizing Kontron's IoT roadmap and delivering on customer requirements."
