Harmonic Drive to exhibit at Oceanology International 2016

Harmonic Drive will be showcasing a range of products including servo actuators and strain wave gears, all of which are optimised for reliable performance even under the harsh environment of the ocean. Marine technology places a heavy demand on the characteristics and design of machinery components. "Operating in deep sea environments means operating in the most remote and challenging locations on Earth, under extreme atmospheric pressure. If the gears in an ROV give in to the pressure and cease to work efficiently, it's no cheap or easy task to replace them. Worse still, if it happens in a submersible vehicle it can put lives at risk."

Any unexpected jolt or stoppage brings everything grinding to a halt."
