Harwin introduces customised PCB pin headers

Manufacturers that have to connect to a PCB in an out-of-the-ordinary manner will be interested in a new service from Harwin. Customers that cannot find a standard pin header from Harwin's wide range can now specify a device customised to their own needs.

Pins are available up to 40mm in length on pitches of 1.27, 2.0 and 2.54mm. Wendy Bourne, technical support engineer, explains: "By allowing customers to specify exactly what they want, we are providing a cost-effective and very flexible option for designers who have run into tricky connection challenges."

The pin headers mate with Harwin's female sockets and samples are available for all configurations. They are lead-free and feature high-temperature mouldings to accommodate RoHS-compliant solder processes. They are available in vertical, horizontal and extended PC tail, vertical and extended surface-mount styles.
