High-speed data acquisition cards for modular DAQ systems

HBM is launching new 16- and 32-channel data acquisition cards for its Genesis Highspeed modular data acquisition systems. The cards enable parallel measurement acquisition of up to 512 channels in one instrument with a sample rate of up to 250kS/s per channel. Up to 64 channels are available on all of the Genesis Highspeed systems, including the portable GEN2i data recorder. All systems are scalable for use in larger systems with higher channels counts.

The amplifiers are suited to a wide range of physical measurement quantities and allow a maximum sample rate of 250kS/s per channel at 24-bit resolution. They use differential inputs and support TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) and IEPE (Integrated Electronic Piezo-Electric) for piezoelectric transducers.

HBM says the amplifiers are high-quality devices with an attractive price-to-performance ratio. The data acquisition cards are optimally suited to applications that require high channel counts, such as vibration analyses in vehicle construction or aerospace.
