High-torque IP65-rated stepper motors available from Mclennan
Mclennan Servo Supplies is introducing a new range of IP65-rated high-torque stepper motors from its USA-based distribution partner AMP (Applied Motion Products Inc.). Aimed at severe environment applications where water spray and dust ingress are prevalent, the HW series covers NEMA sizes 23, 24 and 34 in a range of standard stack lengths for holding torque to 7.5Nm.
The new stepper motors feature front shaft seals, corrosion-resistant sealed laminations, and a nickel-plated brass cable gland. The electrical characteristics are designed for optimal performance for use with AMPs' range of high performance microstepping drives - also available from McLennan. Optional double-shaft versions and IP65-rated rear-mounted encoders for position feedback are also available, along with an advanced internal coating for added protection in high-humidity environments.
Mclennan supports AMP products and systems in the UK and French markets with a comprehensive product range including intelligent stepper and servo drives, motors and motion controllers that offer progressive levels of sophistication to suit application price and budget requirements.
