How "˜lean' can igus energy chains be?
An igus video takes a close look at the E4.1L series energy chain, which was developed specifically to save on assembly time. In comparison with standard interior separation, using the E4.1L "lean' interior separation system provides up to an 80 per cent time saving.
The E4.1L system is a useful energy chain for mechanical engineering and applications of all kinds where there must be an optimum relationship between technical requirements and economic efficiency.
Developed to combine the advantages of the E2/000 and E4.1 in one series, the E4.1L features clip-in slotted separators. The innovative design of these "lean' separators enables layer-by-layer insertion of selves and cables, which is finished off with "lean' honeycomb strain relief. E4.1L "lean' crossbars are openable from above or the side, as well as from both sides. Alteration of existing harnessed cables is therefore very quick and easy.
