HSE and IOA to present Low Noise Design Conference

At this event the presenters will share their knowledge and experience relating to recent developments in 'quiet by design' for workplace machinery.

Workers need to be protected from damaging noise levels, and the level of awareness surrounding this issue is at an all-time high; buyers and users of machinery and tools now expect suppliers to refine their products for reduced noise, achieving better than the minimum levels laid down in legislation. Best practice in noise control has also developed significantly in recent decades, and new methods and technologies abound.

This event supports the HSE's ongoing initiatives for noise control by promoting the development, supply and purchase of low-noise equipment.
