IEC standards benefit from redesign

The IEC is redesigning its publications for the first time in almost 20 years to keep up with changes in its corporate style. Standards with the newly-designed cover first went on sale on 2 August 2007. The last time the IEC fundamentally changed the cover of its publications was in 1989.

IEC General Secretary Aharon Amit states: "For a century the IEC's reputation has been built on delivering the best quality international standards and so the market can rest assured that the content of our publications is not changing. This is essentially a cosmetic modification to bring the appearance of our technical publications in line with our overall corporate look, which we developed for our centennial year in 2006."

The corporate style is based on the theme Electrotechnology, a natural passion.
