iglidur L500 - self-lubricating high-speed runner
A new igus iglidur L500 material for fast, continuous speeds of over 6500rpm and temperatures of up to +250degC is said to be particularly well suited to fan and electric motor applications. A video has been released to demonstrate the new material's capabilities: www.igus.co.uk/iglidurL500new.
In line with the durable and robust nature of iglidur materials, the new L500 material has high wear resistance due to its low thermal expansion and moisture absorption properties, as well as being self-lubricating and maintenance free - allowing a significantly longer running time in rotary motion applications.
