Industrial connectors are sealed to IP68
PEI-Genesis is now offering the Amphenol Barracuda range of IP68-sealed connectors that are designed for use in harsh industrial applications where water, dust or spray may be present.
Fully RoHS compliant, the connectors are available with PEI's market-leading 48-hour assembly service, which the company achieves by carrying vast stocks of piece-parts and by building its own customised production machines to automate the connector assembly process.
The robust Barracuda bodies are moulded from glass-filled nylon, and the connectors come in three-way, four-way, six-way and seven-way versions, each of which can be specified with pin or socket screw-terminal contacts made from nickel-plated brass.
Suitable for cables with outside diameters between 6 and 8mm, the connectors can be supplied in three styles - in-line plug, in-line receptacle and panel-mount receptacle - with dust caps available for all. Operating temperature range is -40 to +110degC.
