Hawk IR International is releasing the Ex|CAM AF-Series Explosive Dust certified infrared camera, the latest in ground-breaking infrared safety technology. Based on patent-pending technology that is claimed to be the first of its kind, the Ex|CAM AF Series can detect potential failures within explosive atmospheres and be integrated quickly and simply into an existing CCTV system or installed as a standalone unit. Available in an autonomous mode with certified pan/tilt units, Ex|CAM AF-Series can scan wide areas for auto-ignition temperatures to help proactively prevent explosive dust ignition.
Ex|CAM AF Series features include:
Hawk IR's revolutionary Ex|CAM AF-Series is necessarily designed to be tough and is maintenance-free once installed. Constructed from stainless steel and using the revolutionary CLIRVU-Ex optic material, the Ex|CAM AF-Series enables plant managers and process operators alike to inspect equipment and plant areas thermally within the explosive atmosphere real time. Coupled with factory-fitted and certified pan/tile modules, Ex|CAM AF-Series is capable of scanning large areas remotely. The Ex|CAM AF-Series delivers real-time, high-resolution thermal images that can be displayed via existing CCTV interface for fast and simple information dissemination.
Tony Holliday, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hawk IR International, says: "Every explosive dust atmosphere has an inherent cost of ownership. Infrared thermography can be used to reduce that cost and increase safety by reducing downtime and complying with legal requirements quickly and efficiently. Until now, infrared camera systems have been rarely used within explosive atmospheres due to the inherent dangers associated with the delicate safe area equipment previously available. Industrial manufactures operating with explosive dusts now have a fully certified tool that can identify trouble spots such that corrective actions can be taken to prevent explosions."
Hawk IR's Ex|CAM AF-Series camera is now in full production with systems available for shipment from its UK manufacturing plant to almost anywhere in the world.
