Dunkermotoren is launching the BG 66 range of industrial DC servo motors with integrated electronics. This range is succeeding the BG 65 range that proved extremely popular, with over 100,000 units sold. In fact the BG 66 motors replace the present BG 65 SI (speed control integrated) and BG 65 CI (CANopen Integrated) motors.
The motors' outward appearance remains the same, but the motor control electronics are completely new. Now the speed-controlled version is called dMove and this enables users to assign functions to the digital inputs - from simple speed controlling via analogue signal, set speeds via digital inputs, to combinations of current and speed control. Furthermore, digital outputs can be assigned to functions. Not only have the electronics been optimised, but also the motor performance has been enhanced to provide a higher output power.
Compared to the former 'SI' motors, it is possible to integrate the dMove CO versions as slaves in CANopen networks and to control them via CiA 402 or even more simply via Dunkermotoren quick start commands. Here, all functions are available, including positioning, speed and current operation. Dunkermotoren also offers versions of the motor that are parameterised and controlled via an RS 485 interface. The newly developed commissioning software Drive Assistant 5 helps to intuitively set up the motors.
The dMove series is suitable for a wide variety of applications that do not require a high-resolution encoder. For applications with more demanding requirements, the BG 65 (S) PI, MI and CI are still available.
