Intertronics launches biodegradable 70/30 IPA cleaning wipes for industry

Intertronics has introduced its Endurawipe Biodegradable 70/30 IPA Wipes, an industrial cleaning wipe made from 100% eucalyptus-derived viscose that breaks down within 12 weeks.

Endurawipes remove light oils, residues, and fingerprints from plastic, metal, and composites surfaces across bonding, electronics, optics, precision engineering, medical, and cleanroom applications.

Plant-based alternative to synthetic wipes

The Endurawipe offers laboratories, engineers, and manufacturers a plant-based alternative to synthetic cleaning wipes, helping to reduce solvent use and avoid microplastic pollution after disposal.

IPA wipes are widely used in engineering environments, where performance requirements are well established. Low-linting and pre-saturated with 70% IPA / 30% DI water, Endurawipes are ideal for surface preparation before adhesive bonding, coating, or painting, as well as surface cleaning and degreasing of metals, plastics, and composites.

Each standing pouch contains 200 wipes, uses 60-80 per cent less plastic than traditional tubs or buckets, and dispenses through a resealable cap to prevent wipes from drying out.

Switching your existing wipes for Endurawipes gives you a practical route to lowering environmental impact without having to alter your existing workflows.

Renewable materials and rapid breakdown

"The viscose in Endurawipes is regenerated from cellulose fibres, which is sourced from eucalyptus wood," said Ben Swanson, Joint Managing Director at Intertronics. "Renewability was a focus for this product: many eucalyptus species reach harvest maturity in seven to ten years and yield higher quantities of usable cellulose per hectare than slower-growing species.

"Environmental impact obviously concerns disposal too," said Swanson. "The Endurawipes break down in 12 weeks, whether in a soil, marine, landfill, or water environments."
