Investment casting and CNC machining from one source
Micro Metalsmiths, an established foundry specialising in complex investment cast components and die casting, has invested 500,000 in its CNC machining facility. Currently the plant list includes 21 CNC milling machines, such as the latest high-speed Fanuc Mazaks and Yamazens machining centres, all fitted with Renishaw probing.
In addition to the in-house casting and machining services, Micro Metalsmiths uses global sourcing for ferrous cast parts to enable high-quality parts to be delivered at the most competitive prices.
If required, the company can also apply finishes such as chrome plating, powder coating, alocroming and anodising, so customers receive the components ready to assemble.
Where necessary, fully traceable material is used, parts are X-rayed and can be supplied with chemical and mechanical analysis data reports.
