ISO/TR 14121-2 for machinery risk assessments
ISO/TR 14121-2:2007 Safety of machinery - Risk assessment - Part 2: Practical guidance and examples of methods gives practical guidance on conducting risk assessments for machinery in accordance with ISO 14121-1 (identical to EN ISO 14121-1). It describes various methods and tools for each step in the process.
In addition, ISO/TR 14121-2 provides practical guidance on risk reduction for machinery (in accordance with EN ISO 12100), with additional guidance on the selection of appropriate protective measures for achieving safety.
Intended users of ISO/TR 14121-2:2007 are those involved in the integration of safety into the design, installation or modification of machinery (eg designers, technicians and safety specialists).
ISO/TR 14121-2:2007 was published on 3 December 2007 and is available from ISO in English and French as a paper document or PDF file priced CHF176.
