Whether used in sorting plants, elevators or offshore cranes: Nothing would be moving in modern logistics and production processes without guide rollers. Guide rollers ensure precise movement along defined tracks and carry loads with perfect reliability - and they do so in continuous operation both indoors and outdoors. For this vast variety of applications, norelem offers four product series with different materials and degrees of hardness.
Unassuming guide rollers do exceptionally hard work. They keep processes in logistics, mechanical engineering and conveyor technology running smoothly, even in demanding environments. They are used, for example, in high-volume sorting systems at airports and logistics centres, serve as precise guide elements in mechanical and plant engineering, and can be found in elevators, escalators, conveyor belts and even on huge offshore cranes. While the loads they are subjected to are usually brief, they occur with exceedingly high frequency.
The right guide roller for every application
The norelem range includes four series of guide rollers with polyurethane or polyamide coatings. The variants are clearly distinguishable in colour and are designed for different load, environmental, and friction requirements.
Light brown guide rollers: Coating made of Extrathane, 92 Shore A, non-marring and non-staining. Suitable for elevators, gate guides, conveyor systems and swimming pool covers. They offer low-noise operation; low rolling friction; high wear resistance; elastic and gentle on the floor; high resistance to abrasion, cuts, and tearing; and resistance to abrasive media.
Brown guide rollers: Coating made of thermoplastic polyurethane, 98 Shore A, non-marring and non-staining, compact diameter for tight installation spaces Typical applications: Conveyor belts, gate guides, elevators and convertible roofs. Features include ultra-low rolling friction, high abrasion resistance and high resistance to chemicals.
Silver-grey guide rollers: TPU coating, 92 Shore A, with polyamide wheel centre, non-marring and non-staining. Designed for outdoor use, e.g. on cranes. Guide rollers are also suitable for use in such classic applications as conveyor belts and elevators. They are hydrolysis-stable, low rolling friction and highly abrasion resistant
Ecru guide rollers: Shatterproof polyamide, 70 Shore D, the hardest variant in the product line. Suitable for heavy-duty guides used in gates, elevators or swimming pool covers. They offer ultra-low rolling friction even on slick floors, extremely high load-bearing capacity and maximum resistance to chemicals.
