Labtex introduces Planetroll variable speed gearheads
Planetroll is a leader in the field of drive technology with expertise in developing and manufacturing variable speed gearboxes. Planetroll variable speed gearboxes are wet-running transmissions. Because there is no friction inside the gearheads, they exhibit a long service life and high levels of reliability.
The outstanding characteristics of the Planetroll variable speed gearbox are the result of an extraordinary system of torque transmission. The basis for this is the interaction of a perfect geometrical body incorporating four rings, the ball and a traction fluid with an appropriate coefficient of friction. This is known as elasto-hydrodynamic power transmission.
A special characteristic of the Plaromaster variable speed gearboxes is the ability to transmit the highest torques at the lowest rotational output speeds. Many applications require the greatest possible torque from zero rpm.
Of particular importance is the exclusion of 'slippage' associated with friction gears. This special characteristic of the Planetroll gearhead is advantageous in applications with a continuously changing load and no pre-defined torque.
The Plaromaster variable speed gearboxes have a power range from 0.027-7.5kW in a choice of seven sizes. Plaromaster units conform to ATEX requirements for zones 1 and 21 according to Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) and also GMP and FDA regulations. Plaromaster can also be produced as a silicon-free unit.
General performance characteristics include low noise and low vibration, long service life, precise linear speed setting and no transmission slippage.
The flexibility of the Plaromaster can be further enhanced by the addition of a Plarotronic intelligent speed controller and Plarotorque torque meter.
