Lineshaft roller conveyors allow products to queue undamaged

Automation Supplies is offering a comprehensive range of lineshaft roller conveyors. These use a traditional roller conveyor design, typically with steel rollers in steel or aluminium profile frames. However, the power for the rollers is supplied via a longitudinal shaft that rotated beneath the load-bearing rollers, providing traction to each individual roller. The use of plastic spools on the longitudinal shaft, together with the elasticated bands that take the power to the rollers, allows for the rollers to slip if required, thereby enabling a queue of products to form without them exerting excessive loads on each other.

The standard roller conveyor incorporates 50mm diameter rollers giving 8kg of drive per spool. The straight track is supplied in maximum 3.0m lengths as standard. All the conveyors have a modular design and therefore can be altered or added to easily.

Standard widths are available from 362-1012mm. Frames are free of bolt heads and unnecessary holes due to a jig-welded construction. The standard frame finish is powder-coated steel, but aluminium options are also available. Standard steel rollers are zinc-plated, though stainless steel options are available.

More information on these new conveyors is available from the Automation Supplies website at www.roller-conveyors-systems.co.uk.
