Low-cost device for remote control via a mobile phone

Audon's TBox20 is a low-cost option for remote control and monitoring via a mobile phone. The TBox20 can monitor two analogue and four digital switch inputs. An SMS alarm message can be sent when inputs exceed preset limits, and users can also interrogate the inputs through SMS messaging. The TBox20 has four relay outputs that can be activated via SMS and used to switch lamps, pumps, heaters, etc.

An advanced yet simplified Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), the Tbox20 takes advantage of the reliable, widespread GSM networks and the supported GPRS service, and therefore becomes a remotely accessible unit from any part of the world. Various parameters of Tbox20 can be configured using an embedded feature-rich web server interface. The inputs on Tbox20 can be used for monitoring external devices or connecting sensors (analogue/digital). Alarm conditions can be configured for monitoring these inputs. Since the Tbox20 supports SMS and SMTP protocols, it can be configured to send an SMS/email whenever alarm conditions occur. The Tbox20 also gives users the freedom to control the states of the connected outputs.

The Tbox20 is available ex-stock for 149. For more information go to www.audon.co.uk/tbox20.html.
