Low-cost test chamber operates from -20 to +70degC
Unitemp is introducing the low-cost LC 170 temperature test chamber for the testing of pharmaceuticals, electronics, automotive assemblies/components and other products. It has a volume of 170 litres and uses urethane foam for insulation. The chamber is constructed from stainless steel and incorporates a full opening door, complete with security lock and magnetic gaskets for positive sealing. The temperature range is -20 to +70degC, controllable to +/-2degC across the range.
Cooling is by means of a self-contained hermetic cooling unit operating on R404A refrigerant, while heating is by means of inconel rod elements installed as an integral part of the finned evaporator.
For ease of use the controls are on top of the unit, consisting of a PID temperature controller with four-digit LED display and a fast-response resistance thermometer.
Optional extras include combined high/low-temperature alarms and chart recorders. Internal measurements are 575 x 660 x 400mm (W x H x D) and the test chamber weighs approximately 50kg approx.
