Mark Klossner to head Altra Engineered Couplings Group
Altra President and Chief Operating Officer Carl Christenson is announcing that Altra Industrial Motion has appointed Mark Klossner as Vice President and General Manager of the Altra Engineered Couplings Group. Altra Industrial Motion is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Altra Holdings Inc.
Business units within the Altra Engineered Couplings Group include TB Wood's, Ameridrives Couplings, Ameridrives Power Transmissions and Bibby Transmissions. These Altra brands produce a wide range of precision engineered couplings and mechanical power transmission equipment for industrial control applications throughout the world.
Klossner joined the global power transmission firm in 2004 as a Strategic Marketing Analyst and was subsequently promoted to Strategic Marketing Manager, focusing on improving Altra's electromagnetic clutch/brake (ECB) business platform. He was named Managing Director for Altra's business unit, Matrix International, Brechin, Scotland, in October 2006.
Prior to joining Altra, Klossner held various operational and marketing positions with Kulicke and Soffa in Pennsylvania. He holds a BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management and an MS degree in Engineering from Northwestern University.
