Maxon motor improves popular motors and gearheads
Maxon motor is launching improved versions of its EC 90 flat motors and EC 6 brushless motors, as well as its GP 6A planetary gearhead. The refinements have been made in consultation with leading design engineers throughout Europe.
Improvements can be summarised as follows:
- GP 6A planetary gearheads now have connection brushing gears and motors made as one piece to increase stability and improve reliability.
- GP 6A planetary gearheads have been tested and approved at an extended temperature range of -40 to +100degC to expand the range of possible applications.
- EC 6 micro electric motors are fitted with new Hall sensors to extend the operating voltage range to 4.5-18V DC.
- EC 90 flat motors benefit from a new steel rotor cover, while the flange is now constructed from aluminium.
The motor refinements are valid for both the 60W and 90W versions and have no impact on their size or shape, while further enhancing the reliability and stability of the motors. All of the changes are reflected in the 2010/11 catalogue and are made at no extra cost.
