MeshNetics will participating in the first European ZigBee Developers' Conference (EuZDC), the main European ZigBee event of 2007. The conference will take place in Munich on 18-20 June 2007.
Previously the ZigBee Developers' Conference has been held in the USA, but now the leading ZigBee hardware and software providers are to converge on Munich to offer first-hand expertise in the development of ZigBee-based systems.
MeshNetics deliver offer two lectures and offer hands-on training as well. The first lecture (18 June, 17:20) will focus on the innovative software component model applied for wireless sensor network management. By attending the second lecture (19 June, 10:00), participants will learn about the common misconceptions related to ZigBee modules' range measurement.
Hands-on training will focus on the Meshnetics eZeeNet software stack, development tools, and open source software. Developers will be taken through several sample applications. Participants will have the opportunity to modify the code, and compete and win prizes in a friendly 'best node in the network' competition.
Additionally MeshNetics will have a booth, where visitors can see the full range of the company's products, including the Atmel-based ZigBit 802.15.4/ZigBee modules. The tiny modules come with two antenna options and are claimed to have best-in-class range. Visitors can also participate in an interactive ZigBee network demo, operating on MeshBean development boards with sensors. Live sensor data, as well as the network topology, are visualised on a PC screen.
