MeshNetics has opened a new EMEA office in Dresden, Germany, to better serve its rapidly growing European customer base. MeshNetics made the announcement at the 1st European ZigBee Developers' Conference in Munich, Germany, where it serves as the Platinum Sponsor. Already the recipient of the 2006 European Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Technology Award for its achievements in ZigBee technology implementation, MeshNetics is now further strengthening its position in the European ZigBee market with its new Dresden office.
Mr Vasiliy Suvorov, CEO of MeshNetics, says: "We have seen a growing adoption of ZigBee wireless technology in a variety of industries across Europe. Opening a new office to serve European customers is the next logical step in our global expansion strategy. Dresden is the heart of what became known as Europe's 'Silicon Valley' and is an ideal location for our new operations centre."
The new operations centre will improve MeshNetics' customer service throughout Europe and neighbouring regions. It will also help streamline logistics and cut delivery times of MeshNetics ZigBee modules and Development Kits. MeshNetics works closely with manufacturers and system integrators, helping them develop ZigBee-based wireless products and systems faster and more cost-effectively. The new operations centre will allow MeshNetics to serve its European clients more efficiently.
The first European ZigBee Developers' Conference, taking place in Munich from 18 to 20 June 2007, will be the year's largest and most significant European ZigBee event. After achieving success in the USA for three consecutive years, the ZigBee Developers' Conference is now moving to Europe – where the leading ZigBee hardware and software providers will are converging to offer first-hand expertise in ZigBee-based developments.
Suvorov comments: "We are proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of this important event. It is the first ZigBee Developers' Conference to be held in Europe, which reflects ZigBee's rising popularity among European developers. The Conference's 'training sessions' format is extremely valuable for gaining first-hand knowledge of how ZigBee platforms operate."
MeshNetics' hands-on training is focused on MeshNetics eZeeNet software stack, development tools, and open source software. MeshNetics will also present its full range of Atmel-based ZigBit 802.15.4/ZigBee modules. Described as the industry's smallest ZigBee modules, these are based on the AVR Z-Link hardware platform and offer a superior unamplified line-of-site range of over 1000m. The ZigBee 2006 certified mesh networking stack software and sample applications, included in the Development Kit, provide all the tools needed to develop reliable, cost-effective ZigBee systems. MeshNetics also offers certified IEEE802.15.4 MAC software, the OpenMAC, that can be downloaded for free at www.meshnetics.com/opensource/mac.
