Micro Concepts offers Autodesk Professional Certification
Micro Concepts will be one of the first manufacturing products and training providers in the UK to offer Autodesk's new Professional Certification programme. The Cambridge-based firm has already been working with Autodesk on a pilot of the scheme. It reports that customer feedback has been "extremely positive" and it is already fielding enquiries from interested engineering students and professionals.
The new scheme is designed to offer official accreditation in the use of Autodesk software, providing both users and their employers with a reliable validation of skills and knowledge. Certification will initially be available at two levels: Autodesk Certified Associate and Autodesk Certified Professional, with plans to launch an Autodesk Certified Expert certification in the near future. Certification will be available for the 2008 and 2009 versions of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and across a range of other Autodesk software products.
Peter Barker of Micro Concepts says: "We believe these courses will be extremely popular, giving Autodesk software users a competitive edge career-wise and employers a reliable benchmark of skills and ability. It will also help manufacturing companies promote their own design teams and give proof of their professionalism."
Although Autodesk's Professional Certification will be rolled out across Northern Europe, at the moment Micro Concepts claims to be one of only a small number of UK resellers offering the programme and the only one in its area. Micro Concepts has an excellent track record as an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre, with fully equipped facilities, and the new scheme will dovetail with its comprehensive range of training options.
