Mid-range linear guides are simple to install

Thinking Space Systems is introducing the new Kanya C-guide rail that is said to be a lower-cost alternative to linear bearings yet it offers advantages over conventional drawer slide units.

Mid-range linear guides are simple to install

Because of the optimised form of the guide rail and the robust construction or the roller elements (three per carriage) the rail may be used for relatively high loads. Moreover, because the central roller is mounted on an eccentric, the clearance/preload can be adjusted to suit the application requirements. Stainless steel is used as standard for the guides and slides (carriages), though zinc-plated guide rails can be specified as an option.

Designed for installation on extruded aluminium profiles from the Kanya range, the rails and slides centre themselves on the aluminium extrusion to make installation very simple.

Maximum speed is 1.5m/s and the units can be used in temperatures from -20 to 100degC.

Three sizes of guide and slide are available, with the load per slide unit ranging from 300-1600N.
