mk adds round sections

Two new round variants are expanding the company's portfolio of aluminium profiles

mk adds round sections

Two new profile cross-sections with a diameter of 28 mm as well as a number of form-fitting and stable connecting elements will soon expand its offering, says mk . The new D28 round tube system was developed for lean production purposes and mk states that almost any design for individual workshop and assembly equipment can be built using only 13 standard components.

The new profiles are said to be well suited for a variety of typical applications including supply trolleys, shelves, racks or extensions for workstations says the company, and because the new D28 round pipe system is easy to use, it means that a single person can put together new structures or extensions with little effort. Profile machining is not required for either the solid or load-bearing construction of standard elements.

The D28 round pipe system is compatible with the mk 40 series profiles, offering the possibility of combining the square and round cross sections to maximise the advantages of both series and provide both stability and versatility as well as weight and cost savings.

The system can also be combined with round tube components from other suppliers, making it easy to expand any existing designs. mk cites a number of further advantages of the new round sections including its light weight at just 0.6kg/metre.
