MMG Magdev names Business Development Director
MMG Magdev, the Swindon-based magnet supplier, has appointed Forbes Crisell as Business Development Director. Forbes joins the Company's board with responsibility for maintaining MagDev's recent growth in terms of expanding orders and new contract wins. Forbes moves from his former position as European Distribution Manager at Parker Hannifin in Marlow and comes to MagDev at an opportune time for both himself and the Company, as Managing Director Paul Wharmby explains: "From what I have seen of Forbes already he is going to prove to be a great asset to this organisation. His attention to detail and can-do attitude are infectious; and one thing that is for sure is that he gets things done.
"We are a business with a growth strategy that is really gaining momentum, so it is just the right time to bring someone in with the right skills and drive to take us to the next level. We have plans to double our sales team within six months, and Forbes is the perfect start to that process."
Forbes took up his new position on 2 October 2007 and the 43-year-old from Surrey is now getting his teeth into his latest challenge. He states: "There is a lot of potential business out there for us, and I intend to make the most of it. I am a results-driven person by nature, so I will not be satisfied until I have been here a while and really got my own things going on. On a personal level, I am genuinely excited by the position MagDev is in, the further opportunities I know exist, with what I can bring to the table, and what I think the company can achieve in a relatively short space of time. MagDev have some great magnetic solutions, so this was a very attractive proposition for me."
