Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) is launching two new modules to extend its Simatic ET 200M distributed I/O system: the 153-2 HF interface module for connecting to Profibus, and the 153-4 for connecting to Profinet. Both enable up to 12 modules to be added within one station, and Hart modules can be plugged into the 153-2 HF version. A time stamp for the 24-channel F-DI module has also been added to the interface module.
