Touchwave Media, which organises the Motor Driven Systems Conference, has announced the five regional locations for the roadshow-style event taking place in October, November and December 2013:
The MDS Conference aims to help designers of equipment and processes, as well as end users, reduce the energy consumed by apparatus such as pumps, fans and compressors. Presentations focus on ways to make huge savings by applying a systems engineering approach to reduce energy, improve performance and, ultimately, save money.
Industry partners for the MDS Conference are ABB, Eriks, Mitsubishi Electric, Rittal and WEG. In addition, the following organisations are partners: AEMT (Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades), BCAS (British Compressed Air Society), BEAMA (British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers' Association), BPMA (British Pump Manufacturers' Association), BSI (British Standards Institution), Carbon Trust, EEF (the manufacturers' organisation), The Energy Institute , ESTA (Energy Services and Technology Association), FETA (Federation of Environmental Trade Associations ), GAMBICA (the UK trade association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology), IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), IMS Research, and Siemens (Carbon Trust Implementation Services in co-operation with Siemens Financial Services).
