New AC plug connectors for photovoltaic systems
Phoenix Contact is expanding its product portfolio of AC plug connectors for photovoltaic systems. The new three- and five-pole PRC series connects AC cables to inverters reliably and conveniently.
While the device plug connectors with crimp connections are delivered already pre-assembled with pre-connected wires, the rigid and flexible plug connector cables are connected using proven screw connections. The three-pole version is designed for currents up to 35A, and the five-pole version handles up to 30A. Both versions are approved for voltages up to 600V and fulfil the requirements of the IP68 protection class.
The plug connector locks automatically during insertion. To safeguard against unintentional disconnection, a tool is required to disconnect the plug connector from the device connector. The plug can also be protected using a safety seal. Phoenix Contact is expanding its PV plug connector product portfolio with these AC plug connectors specifically for inverter connections.
