New connection technology for micro-inverters

In order to simplify the wiring of roof-mounted PV systems, Phoenix Contact has developed a new plug system specifically for micro-inverters. This system makes it possible to reduce additional wiring effort, particularly in hybrid systems. Preassembled plug connectors with conductor lengths for common module dimensions ensure quick and reliable assembly. Each micro-inverter in the system has its own module. Connections are made via plug & play.

A Y-distributor is used for implementation. The release tool guards against unintentionally opening the connection. Biologically degradable dust protection caps complete the range of accessories. The network connection can take place via both trunk plugs, depending on the system arrangement.

The first product in the new product line is designed for the North American market. The European version will follow at the beginning of 2014. For further information about the new plug system for micro-inverters please go to www.phoenixcontact.co.uk.
