New guarding elements for Item aluminium profile system
Machine Building Systems is introducing a number of new Item guarding elements, including the Safety Fastening Set Multiblock 8, Safety Hangers for securing wire mesh fence panels to aluminium profile posts, and anti-loss washers to ensure standard screws remain attached to guard panels.
In addition there are new tamper-resistant fastenings for use with the Security Limit Switch, Security Lock Compact and corresponding tongue-type mechanical actuator. These fastenings utilise socket-head screws with a raised central pip, requiring special keys (also now available as part of the Item range).
For sliding guards (or other applications where horizontal translation is required), a new Runway Sliding Set 8 40x40 and Runway Profile 8 40x40 feature ball bearing-mounted wheels (four per unit) to give smooth, low-friction movement. A limit stop is included within each set, and this incorporates a lock to prevent unexpected movement. Maximum door weight is 30kg, and Profile 8 or Profile 6 components can be used for the door frame.
