Harting is launching an RJ45 Category 6 Ethernet module that allows transmission rates of up to 10Gbit/s for use with the Han-Modular Series of industrial connectors.
In addition to its high-speed capabilities, the new RJ45 Ethernet module offers a very high level of mechanical stability, so it can be used in applications with high mechanical demands.
The module is executed as a gender changer on the socket side so that inserting a commercially available RJ45 patch cable is all that is needed to make the connection. Two Category 6 options are available on the male connector: a field-installable version with an RJ Industrial interface, and a module that is capable of accommodating corresponding Harting patch cables.
The compact module incorporates a complete 360-degree shielded RJ45 metal coupler, and is 100 per cent plug-compatible with Harting's previous RJ45 module.
Harting's Han-Modular open connector system enables users to assemble customised connector configurations to suit their requirements. More than 40 different modules are available for electric, optical and pneumatic transmission.
